Beta terms

A plain-language agreement for the private Small Plates development beta.

This is test software. Features may change, data may be reset, and development accounts will not be copied into the eventual public service.

Who may participate

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Use one account, represent yourself honestly, and do not create an account for someone else.

Respect and consent

Do not harass, threaten, shame, impersonate, scam, solicit, or post sexual, hateful, illegal, or privacy-invasive content. A connection or introduction is context—not a guarantee, endorsement, background check, or permission to contact someone elsewhere. Respect every person’s “no,” block, unmatch, and introduction decision.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and text you submit. You give Small Plates permission to store, process, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and evaluate the beta. Only upload content you have the right to use.

Moderation

Small Plates may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or preserve relevant records when reasonably needed for safety, legal compliance, or beta integrity. Reports are reviewed for beta operations but are not an emergency service.

Account deletion

The in-app deletion control hides your profile immediately and queues remaining development data for permanent deletion. Some records may be retained temporarily when needed for fraud prevention, safety investigations, dispute resolution, or law.

Beta availability

The beta is provided as available, without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or lead to any particular connection or relationship. Do not rely on it to preserve your only copy of anything important.

Independence

Small Plates is an independent project. It is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Brigham Young University or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Changes

If these terms materially change during the beta, participants will be asked to review the new version before continuing.
